This thermostat is designed to operate with most gas, oil, electric or forced hot water heating and air conditioning systems. These have 24-volt or millivolt control systems and represent most central heating, air conditioning, or space heating units in use in the United States.

This thermostat will NOT control heat pump systems, high voltage electric baseboard, electric ceiling or multi-stage heating and cooling systems.
